Anti-Catholic Propaganda
Everyone knows how the media and popular culture has banded together to bash Roman Catholicism and the Culture of Life. It's gone on for years. (Madonna's workin' it now in Rome and elsewhere with her "Confessions" tour.)
This cartoon by Pat Oliphant reminded me of the Nazi propaganda cartoons the German Government publicized to foment and escalate anti-Semite hatred in the republic, which lead eventually to the holocaust.
We are witnessing the same dynamics at work today. Mel Gibson made a mistake (He apologized twice!) that everyone, especially our enemies are capitalizing on. LIKE I SAID, IT'S NOT ABOUT MEL ANYMORE!

The cartoon shown here with the octopus illustrates the erroneous conception that the Jews are out for world domination.
