Nothing original.Jeffrey at Roving Medievalist has an exhibition of stunning images taken from the Paris Psalter. The example shown here depicts the Crossing of the Red Sea. The other pages on Jeffrey's post are reminiscent of ancient Roman frescoes depicting pagan myths. One can see how Christian iconography adapted the method, technique and style of pagan iconography.
